Shimano x Etteplan

Shimano’s partnership with Etteplan started in 2016 with an animation of an internal geared hub. For Shimano, this represented a valuable shift from live educational resources to showcasing their products through CGI (Computer Generated Imagery) animation for their dealers and mechanics. This enabled Shimano to offer an exploded view of their groupsets, letting users ‘look into’ each component, simplifying relatively complex systems and even showing products that were not in production yet.
