Etteplan and Husqvarna Group, a global leading producer of outdoor power products and innovative solutions for forest, park and garden care have agreed to continue their successful outsourcing agreement in technical information.

The agreement is an extension of an existing collaboration initiated in 2015 when Husqvarna Group outsourced its production and maintenance of technical information globally to Etteplan for all products and brands. During this period, Etteplan has implemented global processes and solutions to further improve the productivity and quality of the technical information. The outcome of the outsourcing agreement has been very successful, resulting in substantial cost savings, improved quality, reduced environmental footprint but also in increased uniformity and digitalization within the Husqvarna Group.

“We are pleased to move forward with our partnership with Etteplan, who already knows our operations very well. We are committed to develop the quality of our technical information even further together with Etteplan. The new agreement, effective for three years, aims to future proof the technical information through digitalization and user centric content. It also allows us to get access to the latest technology and expertise, while we are able to focus on our core business”, says Andreas Rangert, VP Tree Pro Customer Unit & Technology Operations, Husqvarna Division.

“The fact that Husqvarna gives us additional confidence to continue supporting them to improve their technical information even further is proof that they are satisfied with what we have delivered and that they believe in our solutions, says Mikael Vatn, SVP, Technical Documentation, Etteplan.

Etteplan’s service solution for Husqvarna is based on predefined processes and efficient operating models. Etteplan will continue to take overall responsibility for producing and developing technical information services for the customer. The productivity of the service model is regularly measured using a set of indicators agreed on together with the customer.
