Etteplan initiates negotiations due to prolonged situation related to the pandemic

Etteplan has today initiated negotiations concerning possible layoffs. So far the change in customer demand and workload caused by the corona pandemic has been on a lower level than initially estimated but the duration of the situation has prolonged.

”Some of our customers have continued investments and during the past weeks we have received a fair amount of new orders. Unfortunately the corona pandemic has impacts on our customers’ business and demand, which is also reflected to Etteplan and the uncertainty continues”, says Etteplan’s President and CEO Juha Näkki. 

The potential layoffs could concern some 570 people including part-time layoffs. The negotiations concern all of Etteplan’s personnel in Finland, altogether some 2, 100 employees; The possible layoffs would be implemented as indefinite layoffs. The negotiations do not include terminations of employment.
