Press release – Published: 07.03.2019 15:00:00

Etteplan has received the Advanced Technology enterprise status for the operations of Etteplan in Kunshan, China for the second time. The status, given by Science and Technology Agency, Jiangsu Province is valid until the end of 2020.

The overall goal of the status is to support companies to improve in the areas of technology and innovation. The status is granted to manufacturing and service companies which have a successful track record in Knowledge Process Outsourcing (KPO). Knowledge Process Outsourcing refers to the process, where a client company outsource knowledge intensive operations such as design engineering to a partner, who can thereby grow the knowledge base and help the client organization become more competitive. The benefits of the status include a 10% discount in the company income tax, and the possibility to apply for government subsidies. Etteplan’s previous status was valid for the years 2015 – 2018.

The status was granted to Etteplan because it has successfully used its professional knowledge to create value to its customers. Other criteria for Etteplan receiving the status include the global nature of its business, healthy financial status, the right type and quality of its customer base, and the high educational level of its employees.

The Advanced Technology status was this time given to 96 companies in the Jiangsu Province.

Etteplan currently employs some 400 people in its eight offices in China: Beijing, Shanghai, Kunshan, Suzhou, Xi’an, Qingdao, Wuhan, and Shenzhen. Etteplan’s customer base consists of both local Chinese companies and Western companies operating in the country.
