Press release – Published: 07.12.2015 14:00:00

Mining and tunneling equipment manufacturer Normet in Iisalmi, Finland, is outsourcing its technical documentation and product management functions to Etteplan. The outsourcing is part of Normet’s previously announced cost-savings program and the company’s restructuring.

The agreement enters into effect on December7, 2015. As part of the arrangement, six Normet employees, four from documentation and two from product management, will transfer to Etteplan as existing employees. Etteplan and Normet have been working together for more than 15 years.

– Etteplan decisively develops its services and the know-how of its experts, which gives our transferring employees excellent opportunities for professional development. At the same time, we will be able to offer our customers the highest-quality technical documentation and product management available in the market, says Normet’s Managing Director, Timo Rask.

Technical documentation refers to user, maintenance and spare parts manuals intended for product users and maintenance personnel with the objective of ensuring the products’ proper and safe use and maintenance. Etteplan is a forerunner in its field in developing documentation methods and services.
