Etteplan and Volvo Car Corporation to deepen cooperation in testing of future proof air condition systems

Etteplan, specialists in industrial equipment engineering and technical product information solutions, and Volvo Car Corporation have signed a 5-year contract according to which Etteplan provides a comprehensive air condition (A/C) test system facility and testing services for Volvo’s next generation A/C systems.

Etteplan’s services to Volvo include the design, construction, installation of the test rig. The service contract also includes testing operations, technical support and training. The new testing facility will be managed by Etteplan. The rig will be located at Etteplan’s Test Center in Gothenburg and is planned to be fully operational in December 2013. The new testing facility will meet future testing needs related to new technologies such as electric and hybrid cars.

Etteplan and Volvo Car Corporation have been cooperating on the development of air condition systems for over 20 years. Etteplan is a leading company in advanced climate technologies and has extensive know-how to develop test rigs and analyses for most demanding applications.
