ETTEPLAN AND SJÖLAND & THYSELIUS COMMENCE COOPERATION - INCREASED EFFICIENCY TO
HIGH TECHNOLOGY PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS

Etteplan Oyj and Sjöland & Thyselius Holding AB have signed a cooperation
agreement that helps the companies to offer customers a broad combination of
expertise services. From Etteplan's side the cooperation partner is Etteplan's
subsidiary LUTAB AB. LUTAB AB and Sjöland & Thyselius (S&T) concentrate on high
technology product development services for machine and equipment manufacturers
developing renewable energy sources, aviation, space and defence equipment
industry as well as car and train manufacturing companies.

The cooperation aims to shorten customers' product development project time with
the help of integrated expertise services and efficient service processes.
Cooperation offers customers a combination where versatile expertise of
different engineering areas and S&T's STARCS wind tunnel offering of measuring,
calculation and testing services, are combined. The overall service includes
among others concept design of new product or system, engineering of demanding
composite and other structures and their optimization. With the overall service
provided together, it is ensured that new products fulfil the strict
aerodynamic, material, strength and production as well as other required
criteria even more efficiently. Examples of engineering assignments are
optimization of aeroplane motors' air intake, engineering of wind turbines for
wind power plants and aerodynamic design of trains.

Companies' competence areas complement each other. LUTAB AB is especially strong
among others in requirement management, system safety, engineering analysis and
aeronautics. S&T companies specialize in system development and integration,
information architecture, aerodynamics, modelling and simulation as well as
communication technology. Companies' service networks complement each other and
support customers' global business effectively.

The cooperation offers both companies a possibility to significant organic
growth in chosen market segments.

Sjöland & Thyselius Holding AB is a Swedish company that includes 16 advanced
technology expertise companies.
