ETTEPLAN AND NEXTROM TO ESTABLISH AN ENGINEERING
DESIGN OFFICE IN CHINA

Etteplan Oyj and Shanghai Nextrom Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd.
have signed a Letter of Intent, according to which the companies will
establish a joint venture to Shanghai, China. According to the
agreement the ownership in the joint venture is divided between the
companies so that the Etteplan Group possesses 87,5 % and Shanghai
Nextrom Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd 12,5 %.

The agreement supports Etteplan’s internationalisation and follows
Etteplan's strategy according to which the company offers industrial
technology design services geographically close to its key customers.
According to the management, local design services will improve the
competitiveness of Etteplan’s customers in the Chinese market and
supports consequently also operations in Finland. The new company
will in the first hand produce mechanical, electrical and automation
design to the local units of Etteplan’s current customers at Shanghai
area. According to the plan made with the key customers the
operations will be started during August.

Shanghai Nextrom Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd is a daughter
company of Nextrom Holding SA, Morges, Switzerland. Nextrom is the
