ETTEPLAN AND KCI HOISTS SIGNED A CO-OPERATION AGREEMENT

Etteplan Oyj and KCI Hoists Oy, a subsidiary of KCI Konecranes Plc
have today signed a co-operation agreement. According to the
agreement Etteplan provides the implementation design services
for KCI Hoists Oy.

9 designers from the Hämeenlinna office of KCI Hoists Oy will
transfer to Etteplan Oyj on 1 June 2003. The companies have
earlier signed a preliminary agreement concerning the transfers.

The agreement strengthens Etteplan’s position as one of Finland’s
leading engineering design companies for lifting and hoisting
equipment. The design operations of Etteplan Oyj’s Hämeenlinna
office will be combined with the design unit transferred from
KCI Hoists Oy. This will strengthen Etteplan’s positions in
the Hämeenlinna area and gives good presumptions to further
development of operations. Beside the Hämeenlinna office Etteplan
operates 27 branch offices in Finland.

Etteplan Oyj is one of Finland’s leading engineering design
companies. Etteplan’s customer base consists primarily of large
internationally operating companies. Customers are equipment
manufacturers as well as end-users in the wood-processing
industry, the process industry and the lifting and hoisting
equipment as well as electronics industries. The Group’s areas
