ETTEPLAN AND KCI HOISTS ENTER INTO ENGINEERING DESIGN CO-OPERATION

Etteplan Oyj and KCI Hoists Oy, a subsidiary of KCI Konecranes Plc
have today signed a preliminary agreement on engineering design
co-operation. According to the agreement Etteplan provides the
implementation design services for KCI Hoists Oy. As a part of the
agreement 9 KCI Hoists designers will transfer to Etteplan under
their current terms of employment.

The agreement will ensure for KCI Hoists Oy the availability of
flexible and competent mechanical, electronics and automation
design services.

KCI Konecranes, headquartered in Hyvinkää, Finland is a world
leading Engineering Group specialising in advanced overhead
lifting solutions and maintenance services. The Group has annual
sales of approximately EUR 714 million and 4400 employees in
34 countries all over the world. The Group headquarters for
Standard Lifting Equipment is located in Hämeenlinna, Finland
and KCI Hoists Oy is part of this Business Area.

The agreement follows Etteplan’s strategy according to which
the company operates as a partner to its globally functioning
customers offering high calibre industrial design services to
ensure that the customer can concentrate to develop its’ own
core business activities. The agreement strengthens Etteplan’s
position as one of Finland’s leading engineering design companies
for lifting and hoisting equipment.

manufacturers as well as end-users in the wood-processing
